Abstract
"Este texto apresenta algumas notas sobre a evolução do conceito anjo de suas raízes veterotestamentárias para os dias de hoje. Ele resgata a etimologia e o significado do termo e a história da formação do povo judeu enquanto grupo social e religioso e as teorias em torno do conceito anjo, especialmente, aqueles que falam de um enviado especial de Deus, chamado de "o anjo do Senhor". Por fim, aborda ainda outros seres bíblico-mitológicos que foram associados ao termo anjo, tais como os querubins e os serafins. O texto conclui que existem varias teorias sobre os anjos e que a Diáspora e o helenismo tiveram um papel significativo na evolução do conceito" ["This paper presents some notes on the evolution of the angel concept of its Old Testament roots to the present day. He rescues the etymology and meaning of the term and the history of the formation of the Jewish people as a social and religious group and theories surrounding the angel concept, especially those who speak of a special envoy of God, called "the angel of the Lord ". Finally, also addresses other biblical and mythological beings that have been associated with the term angel, such as cherubim and seraphim. The text concludes that there are several theories about angels and the Diaspora and Hellenism played a significant role in the evolution of the concept"]
