Abstract
"O presente artigo busca traçar um panorama histórico-crítico acerca de diversas descobertas científicas que afirmam ter encontrado achados arqueológicos que comprovem a existência passada do homem primitivo. Tal busca ficou comumente conhecida através da nomenclatura “a busca do elo perdido”, sendo ela a maior argumentação possível a ser provida pela arqueologia, visando a corroboração da teoria evolucionista, como defendida originalmente por Charles Darwin. O artigo se propõe verificar se as primeiras evidências apresentadas podem ser consideradas conclusivas ou se haveria a necessidade de se continuar as buscas por tais evidências" ["This article aims to draw a historical-critical overview about various scientific discoveries that claim to have found archaeological findings that prove the former existence of primitive man. Such a search was commonly known by the nomenclature "the search for the missing link", it is the largest argument can be provided by archeology, seeking corroboration of evolutionary theory, as originally advocated by Charles Darwin. The article proposes verify that the earliest evidence presented can be considered conclusive or if there was a need to continue the search for such evidence"]
