Abstract
"Este artículo analiza la trayectoria de la Congregación Cristiana en Brasil, iglesia que representa el marco inicial del pentecostalismo en este país y que ha sido poco investigada. A lo largo de esos cien años presentó un crecimiento continuo tanto dentro como fuera del país, adquiriendo características de dimensión transnacional. Su expansión se basa únicamente en la acción individual de los fieles dentro de la premisa del sacerdocio universal. Representa un fenómeno de gran interés dentro del campo religioso, pues a lo largo de todo ese período siempre mantuvo cohesión interna, no presentó rupturas o disidencias, ni sufrió influencias del neo-pentecostalismo, manteniéndose fiel a los principios que la orientan desde inicio del siglo XX" ["This article analyzes the history of the Christian Congregation Brazil, church represents the initial framework of Pentecostalism in this country and has been little investigated. During those hundred years presented continued growth both inside and outside the country, acquiring characteristics of transnational dimension. Its expansion is based only individual action of the faithful within the premise of universal priesthood. It represents a phenomenon of great interest in the religious field, because throughout that period always maintained internal cohesion, did not present breakups or dissent, or suffered influences neo-Pentecostalism, staying true to the principles that guide since the beginning of the twentieth century"]
