Abstract
"Este artículo procura presentar la arquitectura del libro de Amós, como también indicar algunas pautas hermenéuticas para su interpretación. Quiere presentar la estructura de las composiciones más antiguas en Amós, e indicar las relecturas posteriores. Se remarca que las composiciones son el resultado de la unión de partes de textos de varios ámbitos de la vida del antiguo Israel, formando una nueva expresión textual. Se supone que las composiciones más antiguas (Am 1-6; 7-9) han surgido como literatura de protesta y resistencia a mediados del siglo VIII a.C. El acento principal del mensaje de Amós está en la crítica social y en el anuncio de un juicio inminente de Dios en la historia, así como en la tenue pero clara exigencia del restablecimiento de la justicia como fundamento de las relaciones sociales." "This article aims to present the architecture of the book of Amos as well as to indicate hermeneutical guidelines for its interpretation. It wishes to present the structure of the oldest compositions in Amos and to indicate their posterior re-readings. It is emphasized that the compositions are the result of the union of texts from various ambits of the life of ancient Israel , thus forming a new textual expression. It is supposed that the most ancient compositions (Amos 1-6 and 7-9) arose as literature of protest and resistance in the mid-eighth century BC. The principal accent of Amos´ message is in the social criticism and in the announcement of the imminent judgement of God in history, as well as in the subdued but clear demand to re-establish justice as the grounds of social relations"
