环境美学将环境作为审美对象，其意义不仅是美学观念的变迁，更重要的是在感知层次上对人与自然的亲密连续性的体认。⋯⋯在伯林特看来，环境美学的批评就不仅仅是审美活动，它具有重新阐释甚至改造我们与自然的关系、我们的生活方式乃至我们生活于其中的文化制度的作用。 Environmental esthetic has made environment the object of estheticism. It not only shows the change of estheticism, but also reveals the intimacy of human and nature.
