Abstract
The thesis addresses the phenomenon of Islam revivalism in Indonesia post the falling of New Order (Suharto), especially by seeing the existency of Partai Keadilan Sejahtera (PKS). Furthermore, the thesis studies the origin of PKS, its ideology, structures and political platforms, including why they had changed in post Suharto era. Using the theory of "transactional cost world", PKS is believed adapt with the dynamics of Indonesia political environment
