It is argued that this mindset has contributed to increased levels of poverty in many parts of the World. Poverty has several forms, but corporate activities have positive and negative effects each form. Corporations acting in partnership with governments can find ways of limiting the negative effects, but this requires the intentional design of joint strategies for wealth creation and poverty reduction.
