Together with the establishment and development of social psychology, the last century, the researches on self-meet a special amplification. In the last decades, the thematic of self and its dimensions met a remarkable effervescent theoretics. The psychological researches extended on self-consciousness, self-esteem, self-handicapping, self-efficacy, self-improvement, self-enhancement, self-monitoring, self-focusing, self-disclosure, self-verification, etc. Our research aims to investigate the correlations that exist between the self-esteem and place of control, having in view certain variables such as age, sex, the level of studies graduated.
