Partindo do estudo da etimologia do termo, e mostrando a descendência genealógica de tais povos, apresenta seu desenvolvimento na história do Oriente para mostrar quem são os ismaelitas hoje em sua relação com a grande nação étnica árabe e com a grande nação religiosa islâmica. Finalmente, chama atenção para a realidade do ódio histórico nutrido entre árabes e israelenses, atualmente agravado pela escatologia dispensacionalista evangélica.
