Uno de los elementos principales de la praxis aristotélica se esclarece mediante la noción de "acción inmanente" (en latín, agere), a saber, un peculiar tipo de causalidad en la cual el agente reobra sobre sí mismo. En otras palabras, el efecto de la praxis, en tanto que tal, permenece en quien la realiza.
