The researcher argues that social work is a term that has not been popular in Indonesian society as well as other professions such as doctors, teachers, and others. The researcher founds that to increase the professionalism of social workers should be based on three things: knowledge, expertise / skills and values to enhance the social functioning of clients. Social workers are also required to master the techniques of communication and understand intervention steps so that the client’ problem can be solved precisely. Therefore the presence of Social Work Profession is needed in the community. Moreover, the more the complexity of our life increases, the more obvious problems arise both individual or collective.indWith permission of the license/copyright holderProfessionSocial workerstudentPartisipationEconomic ethicsLabour/professional ethicsMethods of ethicsPhilosophical ethicsCommunity ethicsEducation and ethicsPartisipasi Mahasiswa Pascasarjana UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta Kosentrasi Pekerjaan Sosial untuk Meningkatkan Elektabilitas Profesi Pekerja Sosial di MasyarakatArticle
