In’amuzzahidin, M.2019-09-252019-09-252016-06-112012-11http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12424/153529This paper attempts to discuss tasawwuf thought of Muhammad Shalih Al-Samarani based on his work Matn al-Hikam and Majmū‘at al-Sharī‘ah al-Kāfiyah li ’l-‘Awām. The author shows that Muhammad Shalih Al-Samarani or known as Kyai Saleh Darat bases his thought on Tasawwuf Sunni Amali that is implementing of Islamic teaching consistently based on Al-Qur’an and Hadith. Some of the main teachings conveyed in his work, Matn al-Hikam are tawakkal (surender), patience, sincerity, Muhasabah bi an-Nafsih, and prayer. In his tasawwuf thought, Al-Samarani rejects the concept of Wahdatul Wujud or Tasawwuf falsafi.
