O ponto principal é a teoria husserliana da essência e da visão de essência. Apresento a distinção fundamental entre factos e essências e, por sobre ela, a defesa de Husserl de um conhecimento a priori baseado na visão de essência, bem como a sua repartição do domínio total do conhecimento a priori numa ontologia formal e num conjunto de ontologias regionais, materiais. Mostro como a teoria da visão de essência apresentada nas Ideen dá o flanco a várias críticas, nomeadamente às que foram feitas por neo-kantianos como Rickert e Natorp. Na parte final, mostro como o conceito matemático de um invariante sob um grupo de variações foi o exemplo padrão para a teoria amadurecida de Husserl acerca da visão eidética" ["This paper is concerned with the reappraisal of Husserl’s ontology and epistemology, sketched in the book one of Ideen. The main issue is Husserl’s theory of essences and essential insight. I present the fundamental distinction between facts and essences, and, over and above it, Husserl’s defense of an a priori knowledge based on essential insight, as well as his partition of the whole realm of a priori knowledge into a formal and a set of material, regional ontologies. I show how the theory of essential insight presented in Ideen gives rise to several criticisms, namely those who were done by NeoKantians like Rickert and Natorp.
