Al-Faruqi. Epistemologically, this concept focuses on Islamic disengagement spirit to pursue its science and technology backwardness. The methods employed are analyzing basic elements and characteristics of knowledge of which the Islamic label is considered inappropriate. The research findings suggest that scientification of Islam which is formulated by Kuntowijoyo is more appropriate than the concept of Islamization of knowledge. In this concept, Islam as a religion becomes value and ethic, not as a label of sciences.indWith permission of the license/copyright holderIslamization of KnowledgeAl-AttasAl-FaruqiScientification of IslamKuntowijoyoCultural ethicsCultural/intercultural ethicsReligious ethicsSpirituality and ethicsMethods of ethicsTheological ethicsPhilosophical ethicsComparative religion and interreligious dialogueDARI ISLAMISASI ILMU MENUJU PENGILMUAN ISLAMJournal volume
