Since the 1970s Islamic thought in Indonesia has witnessed significant dynamics of development. Two of the prominent Muslim thinkers of this era are Nurcholish Madjid dan K.H. Abdurrahman Wahid both of which are commonly categorized as the thinker of Neo-modernism. They are popularly called respectively as Cak Nur and Gus Dur. As a result, at least there are two factors influenced their thoughts: their learning process which is begun from Pesantren and continued to western country; and the factor of their family. These factors finally influence their thought to create a new form of thought with the construction of Traditionalism-Modernism and form the thought of Neo-modernism of Islam Indonesia.indWith permission of the license/copyright holderNeo-ModernismNurcholish MadjidAbdurrahman WahidIslam IndonesiaCultural ethicsMedia/communication/information ethicsCultural/intercultural ethicsReligious ethicsSpirituality and ethicsMethods of ethicsGeneral and historicalTheological ethicsCommunity ethicsEducation and ethicsPEMIKIRAN NEO-MODERNISME NURCHOLISH MADJID–K.H.
