Academic reflection has been materialized in the form of dozens of books and hundreds of papers published in scientific journals. The general goal of this paper is to identify the main streams of thought in the post-crisis management literature in respect to ethical issues. There are a considerable number of papers aimed at diagnosing direct and indirect causes of the crisis, factors influencing its speed and scope as well as its internal mechanisms. The paper tries to identify the share of research focusing on ethical issues in the management literature on the last financial crisis. The precise goal of the paper is to verify the following hypothesis: In the post-crisis management literature ethical issues were neglected. The paper concludes with the argument that internal and external control procedures in large corporations – indicated in the literature both as the main cause of the financial crisis and as the main field for improvement - must be accompanied by intensive and harmonized actions aimed at implementation of ethical values of their employees.
