However, despite the rapid advances and growing interdisciplinarity in translation studies over recent decades, the Chinese Bible translation undertaken by various agents and critics seldom incorporates the perspectives of translation theorists, not to mention the presuppositions, applicability and implications of the leading concepts in contemporary translation research.
