Reunindo aproximadamente 800 participantes entre brasileiros, latinoamericanos, estadunidenses e europeus, o evento promoveu discussões sobre a matriz epistemológica da bioética, os parâmetros éticos que devem orientar as relações com o ambiente, a educação e a pesquisa envolvendo seres humanos, entre outras.
