Africa’s poverty problems are often linked to its post independence poor leadership and corruption. That, however, may be just the visible part of other bigger underlying problems. In order to address and solve the problems of corruption in Africa it is important to understand their origins. The combination of disease, harsh environment, history and poverty has weakened the social, political, economic and moral fabric of Africa.
