Partiendo del libro como lo tenemos en el canon de las Escrituras, buscamos hacer un recorrido regresivo hasta, si lo conseguimos, llegar a los orígenes de su testimonio. Han sido elegidos tres sectores de investigación : la formación literaria, el objetivo y los destinatarios de la obra, y al fin un paralelo con los sinópticos, permitiendo así destacar las particularidades del libro. En la última parte de este artículo, se intenta recoger todos los indicios que se hallan en la investigación y presentar una posible reconstitución de la obra, que hace también aparecer la comunidad de la cual nació: la escuela joánica. To become acquainted with the group which graded the Johannine tradition we have only one path: the Fourth Gospel. Starting with the book as we have it in the canon of the Scriptures we try to trace a regressive course to reach, if possible, the origins of its witness. Three areas of research were chosen: The literary formation, the objective, and the audience of the work. And finally, we draw the parallel with the Synoptic Gospels, which allows us to lift out the particularities of the book.
