Through this discussion and revision, discovery could be made on the series of attention-drawing changes happening right now about the ethical value which influences and guides the marital and familial relationships in China.’ (P.1)The changes included are ‘the increased concretization of ethical standards such as the freedom of marriage and gender equality, strides being made towards consolidation of the ethical standard uniting love and duty, and the tendency for the ethical standard unifying the idealistic aspect and practicability to be more perspicuous. ‘(P.1) ‘Conflicting debates on morality and law, love and duty, freedom of marriage and familial equality, societal position and individual position, etc., centring on the revision of marriage law will surely become increasingly intense along with the changes in marital and familial relationships and other social relations.
