Tarekat Shiddiqiyah is mysticism organization or congregation built by Kyai Moch. Muchtar ibn Haji Abdul Mu’thi in Jombang in 1959. Beside focusing on religious teaching, this tarekat also concerns in economic life for the sake of the followers and surrounding community. Some economic activities of Tarekat Shiddiqiyyah i.e. Maqo water production, mini market, magazine, cigarettes, etc. The author argues that this phenomenon proves that opinion said congregation as a scapegoat in the deterioration of Islam is not entirely true.
