Based on some verses in Al-Quran, the author states that religion is a personal-private matter and no constraint for someone in embracing a religion, including to embrace the Islam. The author also presents some hadiths related to religious freedom and explores Prophet Muhammad’s policies to other religious followers especially when he was in Madinah. The author shows that Madinah Charter included several principals about religious freedom in Prophet Muhammad period.
