Abstract
This paper proposes integrity management as a strategic reaction to what is perceived as a moral deficit in sport. First a number of frequently heard counterarguments against integrity management are addressed and subsequently refuted. The central argument of the paper states that good ethics management should achieve a right balance between a rules-based approach and a values-based approach. the paper concludes with recommendations on how to implement the listed instruments as to ensure that they make a real difference and are not restricted to lofty ambitions on glossy broschures.
