Abstract
"The basic imperatives of the Christian ethics do not undergo changes under the influence of historically altering temporal circumstances. 'Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever' (Hebrews 13, 8), and His doctrine is not subject to revision. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife… nor his ox, nor his ass...' (Ex. 20, 12-17) are equally significant in any age, on any continent and in any socio-cultural context, no matter whether the actual public morality of the society recognizes or denies them.
