Abstract
"Las Asambleas del Consejo Mundial de Iglesias (CMI) han aprobado textos en los que se proponían una visión o se precisaban las cualidades de “la unidad que buscamos”.1 En armonía con los mismos, la Novena Asamblea celebrada en Porto Alegre ha aprobado este texto, en el que se invita a las iglesias a proseguir juntas su peregrinación, como un paso más hacia la plena unidad visible. Esta invitación tiene dos objetivos: a) reflexionar acerca de lo que, en este momento de la peregrinación ecuménica, pueden decir juntas sobre algunos aspectos importantes de la Iglesia; y b) exhortar a las iglesias a que reanuden las conversaciones –que sirvan para apoyarse mutuamente sin perder franqueza y penetración– sobre la calidad y el grado de su comunidad y su comunión, y sobre las cuestiones que aún las dividen" ["The Assemblies of the World Council of Churches (WCC) approved texts in which a vision is proposed or qualities of "the unity we seek" .1 In keeping with the same, the Ninth Assembly in Porto Alegre were needed has approved this text, in which the churches are invited to continue their journey together, as a step towards full visible unity. This invitation has two objectives: a) to reflect on what, in this time of ecumenical pilgrimage, can say together about some important aspects of the Church; b) call the churches to resume the talks, which mutually supportive without open and searching on the quality and degree of their community and fellowship, and the issues that still divide"]
