Abstract
"O objetivo deste artigo é analisar a dinâmica das filiações religiosas no Brasil entre 2000 e 2010, enfocando quatro grandes grupos: católicos, evangélicos, sem religião e outros. O número de adeptos da religião Católica Apostólica Romana, que já vinha caindo em termos relativos, diminuiu em termos absolutos pela pri­meira vez na última década. As pessoas que se declaram evangélicas mantiveram a tendência de crescimento, tanto em termos absolutos, como relativos. O número de pessoas que se declaram sem religião continuou aumentando, representando o terceiro contingente em nossa análise. Os demais grupos religiosos, mesmo pequenos em termos agregados, também apresentaram aumento. O Brasil vem passando por um processo de diversificação religiosa e aanálise das característi­cas regionais e demográficas da população, segundo as opções religiosas, ajuda a entender o processo em curso de mudança de hegemoniae maior pluralidade na composição das religiões no Brasil". ["The objective of this paper is to analyze the dynamics of religious affiliations in Brazil between 2000 and 2010 , focusing on four major groups : Catholics, Evangelicals , and other irreligious . The number of adherents of the Roman Catholic religion, which had been falling in relative terms , in absolute terms decreased for the first time in the last decade . People who claim to be evangelical maintained the growth trend , both in absolute terms and relative . The number of people who declare no religion continued to increase , representing the third quota in our analysis . The other , even small in aggregate terms , religious groups also increased . Brazil has been undergoing a process of religious diversification and The analysis of regional and demographic characteristics of the population according to religious choices , helps us understand the ongoing process of change in the composition hegemoniae greater plurality of religions in Brazil ".]
