Abstract
"Job satisfaction has been extensively studied in the workplace.1 Satisfaction has been related to a variety of job characteristics and to the dispositional and personality characteristics of the employee. Job characteristics can be analysed according to the various tasks and skills that jobs require and a profile of different kinds of employment can be constructed. Yet, even when this is done and a job is broken down into its facets and tasks, there is a still a tendency for jobs to be better subsumed under global descriptors."
