Abstract
"Este artigo se insere no contexto de tempos de profundos questionamentos, sobretudo os que envolvem especialmente ciência, filosofia, teologia, ética, bioética e psicologia. O século XXI herdou do anterior muitas incertezas. Longe de ser uma herança maldita, é herança bem-vinda, porque começamos o novo milênio com a certeza de que não há certezas definitivas pela frente. O século passado libertou a ciência, a filosofia e a teologia dos dogmatismos e das doutrinas prontas desde séculos passados. Neste contexto, move-se este texto. O propósito é pensar a temporalidade como fundamento do pensamento crítico em filosofia, ciência, ética e religiões entre outros saberes. O que sabemos, em qualquer área, é relativo a uma época: é sempre, portanto, um saber provisório, em transição para uma formulação mais abrangente, convincente e explicativa. Assim são todas as especulações humanas no tempo. Na definição de Berthold Brecht, “a atividade científica consiste em demonstrar o caráter não-científico dos atuais enunciados científicos”. Esta é a ótica do presente artigo: a temporalidade e historicidade do saber humano. Enfim, soluções existem, mas são provisórias" ["This article is part of a context of deep questions, over all the ones that include specifically science, philosophy, theology, ethics, bioethics and psychology. The XXI century inherited many uncertainties from the previous one. Far from being a cursed inheritance, it is a welcome inheritance because we start the new millennium with the certainty that there are no definitive certainties. The last century freed science, philosophy and theology from dogmatisms and ready doctrines coming from past centuries. This text aims to think about temporality as the ground of critical thought about philosophy, science, ethics and religions, among others. What we know in any area is time bound: it is always, therefore, a provisory knowledge, in transition to a more comprehensive, convincing and productive conception. Thus are all human speculations inside time. In Berthold Brecht’s definition, “scientific activity consists in demonstrating the non-scientific character of current scientific statements”. This is the perspective of the present article: human knowledge’s temporality and historicity. In sum, there are solutions , but they are all provisory"]
