Abstract
"Al tratar de entender nuestra necesidad de reavivamiento y reforma en estos últimos días, necesitamos darnos cuenta de que su fundamento no es otra cosa que una aceptación plena y correcta de Cristo y su justicia plena. Los adventistas debemos proclamar en alta voz que la salvación es únicamente por la gracia de Cristo. Las dos grandes provisiones de la salvación –la justificación y la santificación– no pueden separarse, porque constituyen la plenitud de Cristo, nuestra Justicia. En ocasiones, parece haber una confusión en cuanto a la relación que hay entre la justificación y santificación, y nuestra salvación. Algunos promueven la justificación excluyendo la santificación y terminan en lo que se suele llamar la “gracia barata”. Otros se enfocan casi exclusivamente en la santificación y terminan en lo que se conoce como el “perfeccionismo”, una forma personal de salvación legalista por las obras. Pero la justicia plena de Dios incluye la totalidad de ambas. Es su plan, no el nuestro. Es su manera de llevarnos hacia una relación inmediata y a largo plazo con él, en preparación para pasar la eternidad a su lado. Es el medio señalado por la divinidad para declararnos y también hacernos buenos; para cambiar nuestro estado en los libros celestiales y nuestro carácter aquí en la tierra" ["In trying to understand our need for revival and reformation in recent days, we need to realize that your foundation is nothing but a full and proper acceptance of Christ and full justice. Adventists must proclaim aloud that salvation is only by the grace of Christ. The two great provisions of salvation- justification and sanctification can not be separated, because they are the fullness of Christ, our Righteousness. Sometimes there appears to be confusion as to the relationship between justification and sanctification and salvation. some promote excluding justification and sanctification end in what is usually called "cheap grace". Others focus almost exclusively on sanctification and end in what is known as "perfectionism", a form staff of legalistic salvation by works. But the full justice of God includes both all. It is their plan, not ours. It is their way of lead to an immediate and long-term relationship with him, in preparation to spend eternity next to her.
