Abstract
" Como no todo el mundo sabe, ‘apocalipsis’ es un término griego que significasimplemente “revelación”. Ahora bien, al haber sido empleado, supuestamente,por el apóstol Juan como título de su alegórica descripción del llamado “fin delmundo”, la palabra en cuestión ha acabado significando precisamente eso: unacatástrofe final que acaba con todo el orden existente. En este breve artículopasamos revista a algunas de las visiones catastrofistas que circulan actualmentesobre el destino de la sociedad humana, visiones alentadas por una crisismultidimensional aparentemente sin salida" ["As not everybody knows, ‘Apocalypse’ is a Greek word, whose meaning is just “revelation”. Nonetheless, the fact that John the Apostle apparently did use it as the title of his allegoric description of the “last days”, the word ‘Apocalypse’ got at last the meaning of a final catastrophe putting an end to the existing order of things as a whole. This very short paper passes briefly under review some of the current catastrophic visions about the destiny of human society, visions arising from a multidimensional crisis with no apparent way out"]
