Abstract
"A proposta do artigo é fazer uma análise da figura de Cristo na cristologia protestante, procurando demonstrar a sua deficiência teológica quando comparada as discussões cristológicas na América Latina. Como o protestantismo latino-americano [brasileiro, especificamente] tem sua matriz teológica no protestantismo de missão, a cristologia protestante não acompanhou a discussão e o desenvolvimento das principais questões da cristologia latino-americana, tornando-se uma cristologia apática, no aspecto social, e transcendente, no aspecto teológico. O texto propõe, ainda, dialogar com a cristologia de Jon Sobrino em busca de pontos hermenêuticos para uma reformulação da cristologia protestante" ["The purpose of the article is to analyze the Christ figure in the Protestant Christology, trying to demonstrate his theological deficiency compared Christological discussions in Latin America. As the Latin American Protestantism [Brazilian, specifically] has its theological matrix in the mission of Protestantism, Protestant Christology did not follow the discussion and development of the main issues of the Latin American Christology, becoming an apathetic Christology, the social aspect, and transcendent, the theological aspect.
