Abstract
This article explores the expansion of Ingkar Sunnah in the first period of Islam history; moreover, the expansion in 1980’s that happened in Indonesia. The ideology of Ingkar Sunnah is a sect that hold Al-Quran as the only law in Islam. The result is that the doctrines and tenets of Ingkar Sunnah have no strong foundation or are merely invented by them.
