Abstract
This article discusses about the spirituality of Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia (HTI) of Central Java branch. As an Islamic fundamentalist movement, HTI rejected the concept of tasawwuf in spiritual institution such as tarekat. The author states that HTI more focuses on building khilafah Islamiyah and practices of Islamic sharia as a way of life. In HTI perspective, spirituality is a consciousness of relationship to Allah (idrak silah billah) and practice Islamic sharia in daily life. The improvement of spirituality can be seen in two aspects: ‘aqliyyah (thought) and nafsiyyah (attitude). The author states that the model of spirituality in HTI is more suitable to practice in modern time because its simplicity and easy of its practicing.
