Abstract
This article discusses about the anarchic violence against religious minority group in Indonesia. The author states that the majority group and some of religious group such as Islamic Defender Front (FPI) have hegemonic interpretation in understanding religion. Truth claim and hegemonic interpretation in religious life become the greatest theological challenge facing by religious community. To solve this problem, the author offering some ideas in order to find out the friendly, egalitarian, and tolerant forms of religions i.e. using multiple approach in understanding religion or religious studies, inter-religious dialogue and giving understanding about religious pluralism or multiculturalism since beginning in formal and informal educational institution.
