Abstract
Jürgen Moltmann propounded ‘the cosmic Christ’ in response to today’s ecological crisis, but Chinese academia has so far paid little attention to the topic. This paper focuses on Moltmann’s concept from an ecological perspective, attempting to analyse its theoretical sources, ecological implications and practical significance. The purpose of this paper is to help readers understand Moltmann’s eco-theology and consider the relevance between Christology and ecology, so as to make a contribution to the establishment of an ecological Christology for today’s world.
