Abstract
"A morte algumas vezes inverte a seqüência lógica do ciclo vital e se apresenta em um momento indesejado ou no mínimo inesperado, como nos casos de mortes fetais. Essas, na maioria das vezes, ocorrem no contexto hospitalar, envolvendo a equipe de enfermagem. Diante disso, este estudo objetivou conhecer a influência da atuação da enfermagem junto aos pais que vivenciam a morte do feto viável. Trata-se de uma pesquisa exploratório-descritiva de abordagem qualitativa, realizada em um município do interior do Rio Grande do Sul. Foram entrevistados três pais, totalizando quatro participantes, sendo eles duas mães e um casal, residentes na zona urbana, com histórico de óbito de feto viável nos últimos seis meses. Coletaram-se os dados através de entrevistas semi-estruturadas. Para análise, utilizou-se a técnica temática, identificando-se três categorias: decorrer da gestação, do pré-natal à morte do feto viável; atuação da enfermagem desde a internação até a alta hospitalar; expectativas dos pais no planejamento de uma próxima gravidez. Como resultado evidenciou-se que a enfermagem não apresentou influência significativa na vivência da morte fetal. Isso demonstra a necessidade e importância do preparo profissional para atuar diante de situações extremas, como uma perda fetal" ["Death sometimes inverts the logical sequence of the vital cycle and presents itself as an undesired or at the very least unexpected moment, such as happens in cases of fetuses' death. These latter most times occur in the hospital context, involving the nursing team. Considering this, the present study aimed to identify the influence of nursing performance on parents who experience the death of a viable embryo. This is an exploratory-descriptive research of a qualitative type carried through in a town of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Three parents, in a total of four participants, two mothers and a couple, residents in the urban zone, with description of death of a viable embryo in the last six months, were interviewed. Data were gathered by semi-structured interviews. For analysis, the thematic technique was used, identifying three categories: pregnancy, from prenatal exams to the death of the viable embryo; nursing performance from internment to hospital discharge; expectations of parents in the planning a next pregnancy. Result shows that nursing work had no significant influence in the experience of fetus death. This shows the necessity and importance of professional preparation to act before extreme situations such as a fetus death"]
