Abstract
"Why review for Faith in Business Quarterly a book on a subject that is so apparently irrelevant to modern business? Because the subject becomes startlingly relevant when one realises that, originally, usury was defined as taking any interest or benefit from loaning or renting all resources not just money. Every aspect of business today, whether involved in buying a mortgage or handling one’s salary - let alone one’s investments - is tied up with usury in that original sense."
