Abstract
本文旨在说明可操作性应是《中国图书馆员职业道德准则（试行）》的价值与生命 力。文章以《准则》的第5条“尊重知识产权，促进信息传播”为例，揭示了《准则》中所包 含的不同的价值取向之间的伦理冲突，介绍了国外相关准则对这一伦理冲突的处置及应对方 式，提出了增强《准则》内容的可操作性的具体建议。 [A Librarian should strive for free of documents and information. But if he (she) is not responsible for any consequences resulting from their use, how can we understand his (her) moral responsibility for the society? The Rules of Professional Ethics of Librarians in China should give a clear explanation to this moral conflict between the principle of freedom and the principle of non-injury. Only in this way our Rules could be practicable and operational. ]
