"Al conmemorarse el 483 aniversario de la reforma iniciada por Martín Lutero, el Consejo de Iglesias nos ha convocado para la celebración de tan significativa fecha para nosotros los protestantes. También es una buena oportunidad para preguntarnos, ¿celebrar qué? Han pasado muchas generaciones, tanto de católicos como de protestantes. Aun cuando somos parte de la historia de la Iglesia y estamos comprometidos con ella, somos otra generación, vivimos en un contexto histórico completamente distinto. No podemos seguir repitiendo el viejo refrán de los contemporáneos del profeta Ezequiel: “Los padres comieron las uvas agrias, y los dientes de los hijos tienen la dentera” (Ezequiel 18,2)" ["To commemorate the 483 anniversary of the reform initiated by Martin Luther, the Council of Churches has called us to celebrate this significant date for us Protestants. It is also a good opportunity to ask, why celebrate? Many generations have passed, both Catholics and Protestants. Although we are part of the history of the Church and are committed to it, we are a different generation, we live in a completely different historical context. We can not keep repeating the old adage contemporary of the prophet Ezekiel: "The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge" (Ezekiel 18.2)"]
