Abstract
"Los avances que se han producido en los últimos años han provocado una revolución respecto al análisis de los genes humanos, no sólo en relación al estudio del origen de las enfermedades y su evolución en el tiempo, sino también en el campo del diagnóstico de la identidad individual, al haber hallado en cada célula la huella genética de la persona (1). Indudablemente el Proyecto genoma humano presenta diversas aplicaciones que en la actualidad –al no tener una amplia cobertura legal–, motiva que se plantee numerosos problemas legales y éticos" ["The advances that have occurred in recent years have brought about a revolution on the analysis of human genes, not only in relation to the study of the origin of the disease and its evolution over time, but also in the field of diagnostic identity individually, to be found in every cell the genetic fingerprint of the person (1). Undoubtedly the human genome project has several applications today-having no legal-wide coverage, motivates many legal and ethical issues raised"]
