Abstract
This paper discusses the paradigm of Islamic education M. Fethullah Gülen. Gülen provides an offer to Islamic education which is multicultural-humanist based on love and tolerance paradigm. The results of this study are: First, the concept of love desired by Gülen is a love concept that reaches the Agape. The concept of agape love is the higher form of love than other love forms, eros and philia. The concept of love has characteristics such as fundamental or most important for humans (essential of human), sincere and sacrifice, spiritual and brotherhood, and peace. Second, the concept of Gülen’s tolerance is accepting a person as the way he is and how to consort with him. The principle of tolerance built by Gülen is affection, respect for differences, equality, justice, peace and the common good. Third, in building the golden generation, Gülen uses the concept of collective consciousness that is constructed of a personal spirituality, refers to' collective spiritual personality. All these processes are done on the basis of the paradigm of Love And Tolerance. The methods in building this collective awareness can be done by dialogue and discussion with the principle of existentialism-constructivism.
