Abstract
This article examines the practice of Mut'ah marriage or temporary marriage in Tugu Utara, Cisarua sub-district, Bogor (Puncak Areas) in perspective of Islamic and positive law. Furthermore, the implementation of the temporary marriage in this area is different either with the mut’ah marriage in Syi’ah or marital norms and purposes in Islam. As a result, the author shows that practice of Mut'ah marriage at Puncak is closer to prostitution than to its practice in Islamic laws.
