Abstract
"Margaret Mac Donald en el Comentario Bíblico Internacional[1], llama a este pasaje “La unidad de judíos y gentiles creada por Cristo.” Ella afirma que el lenguaje utilizado en este pasaje como en el resto de la carta, lleva el propósito de “reafirmar los orígenes de los judíos de la Iglesia y la transformación del pueblo de Dios obrada por Cristo.” Por otro lado, la autora indica que el pasaje muestra la hostilidad que en algún momento existió entre judíos y gentiles, como se puede ver en los ecos de Is. 52:7 y 57:19, donde Cristo es quien proclama la paz a los que estaban lejos (gentiles) y a los que estaban cerca (judíos), Ef. 2:17" ["Margaret MacDonald at the International Bible Commentary [1], calls this passage "The unity of Jews and Gentiles created by Christ." She says that the language used in this passage as in the rest of the letter, takes the purpose of "reaffirm the origins of the Jews of the Church and the transformation of the people of God wrought by Christ. "on the other hand, the author indicates that the passage shows hostility that some time existed between Jews and Gentiles, as can be seen in the echoes of is. 52: 7 and 57:19, where Christ is the one who proclaims peace to those who were far off (Gentiles) and those who were near (Jews), Eph. 2:17"]
