Abstract
"Ao tomar como “estudo de caso” aspectos da experiência editorial na Revista Bioética, este artigo discute impasses e desafios às publicações em bioética decorrentes da incorporação de novos parâmetros ordenadores ao processo editorial, considerando especialmente as fraudes relacionadas à autoria, facilitadas pela tecnologia da informação. São apresentadas questões relativas à avaliação por pares; endogenia; a diversos desvios na caracterização da autoria bem como ao plágio e autoplágio. O objetivo da discussão é trazer à luz considerações a respeito da ética na produção acadêmica e científica buscando estimular a reflexão e o debate acerca desses pontos. Considera-se à conclusão, a necessidade de aprofundar a discussão da problemática estendendo-a aos níveis iniciais da formação educacional, bem como a importância de consolidar o mais alto padrão ético para as publicações nacionais em bioética" ["Taking as “case study” aspects of the publishing experience of Revista Bioética, this paper discusses the challenges and dilemmas in bioethics publications resulting from the incorporation of new parameters at the editorial process, especially considering problems related to authorship, which are more frequent because of information technology. Peer review questions; “salami science”, diverse changes in the authorship’s characterization; plagiarism and self-plagiarism are discussed. The purpose of this discussion is to bring the ethical considerations regarding the academic and scientific production to light, seeking to stimulate thought and discussion on these issues. Finally, it is concluded that there is a need for further discussion of the problem, extending it to the initial levels of educational formation, as well as for highlighting the importance of consolidating the highest ethical standard for national publications in bioethics"]
