Abstract
“Ten Commandments” is the basic legal structure of the ancient Jewish-Christian world, and has deeply shaped Western civilization.“Ten evils” is the basic legal structure of traditional Chinese civilization, and its influence still can be seen even today.Based on the field of legal cultural history, this paper mainly uses the typological method to make a comparative analysis of “Ten Commandments” and “Ten evils”, and gets the following conclusion: the “Ten Commandments” is essentially a liberal legal structure for an open world and has important constitutional significance because of its transcendence dimension, while “Ten Evils” is a kind of cultural products shaped by the absolute imperial power, and is a complex heritage that needs to be cleaned and surpassed by the spirit of freedom and constitutionalism.
