Abstract
"This book examines what happens to a society when numerous international agencies, foreign peace-keeping troops and civilian personnel suddenly intervene; and considers the appropriateness of the approaches employed by the international community for promoting post-conflict rehabilitation and reconstruction. The following five chapters focus on the Cambodian experience but address questions which are highly relevant for international efforts to promote peace and rehabilitation in other wartorn societies."(pg 10)
