Abstract
The dissertation examines the thought of Sayid Abd Allah b Alawi Al Attas in Netherland East Indies and emphasises on his financial also intelectual contribution to the development of Islamic reformation in the region by using historical and textual analysis. The obvious output of the study is the finding that Sayyid And Allah offers the better understanding of Islamic reformation in his era and the role of Hadrhami community in disseminating the idea of Islah and Tajdid in the area.
