Abstract
"O fazendeiro batista Guilherme Miller, em estudo solitário — munido de sua concordância de Cruden e sua Bíblia King James — iniciou um grande movimento de reavivamento nos Estados Unidos. Segundo seus cálculos, Cristo voltaria literalmente nas nuvens do céu entre março de 1843 e março de 1844. Grande foi o desapontamento de seus adeptos quando o esperado não aconteceu. O artigo trata das concepções de Miller acerca dos livros de Daniel e Apocalipse, segundo ele, chave para entender os eventos históricos e transcendentes do segundo advento" ["Farmer Baptist William Miller, in solitary study - provided his Cruden agreement and his King James Bible - started a great revival movement in the United States.
