"Pour un Sénégal nouveau, nous, parties prenantes, citoyennes, citoyens sénégalais, nous reconnaissant dans la dynamique non partisane et constructive qui a fondé et nourri les Assises nationales, nous appuyant sur les résultats issus des « consultations citoyennes » et des travaux des commissions thématiques, nous fondant sur le rapport des Assises nationales, lequel consigne la vision pour le Sénégal, et définit les valeurs et principes qui doivent guider la reconstruction nationale et le renforcement de la République, nous nous engageons, de façon libre et solennelle, dans notre comportement et notre action de citoyen, et dans l’exercice de tout mandat et de toute responsabilité, à mettre en œuvre et à veiller au respect de la présente Charte. [For a new Senegal, we, stakeholders, citizens, Senegalese citizens, we appreciate the non-partisan and constructive dynamic that founded and nurtured the National Conference, building on the results from "citizen consultations" and thematic commissions work, based on the report of the national Conference, which set the vision for Senegal, and sets the values and principles that should guide national reconstruction and strengthening of the Republic , we are committed freely and solemnly, in our behavior and our citizen action, and in the exercise of any mandate and responsibility to implement and ensure compliance with this Charter."
